School District 83 Announces New Director of Instruction-Human Resources

Superintendent of Schools Peter Jory is pleased to announce that Ryan Brennan has been appointed to the position of Director of Instruction – Human Resources, effective April 1, 2018.

Brennan joins School District No. 83 (North Okanagan-Shuswap) from his role with the Palliser Regional Schools Public School Division in Lethbridge, Alberta, where he has been the Director of Human Resources since February 2016. Prior to that, Ryan held both Principal and Vice-Principal positions at the publicly funded Heritage Christian Academy in Calgary, Alberta, and taught at schools in Manitoba and Saskatchewan from 1999 to 2006.

“Ryan’s background in educational leadership combined with his knowledge in human resources management will make him a valuable addition to our senior leadership team,” adds Jory. “We look forward to working with Ryan when he joins the district in April.”

Joining Ryan in his move to SD83 will be his wife, Deanna, who is also a teacher, and their two children, Emma and Jaden.
