Kamloops Elects New Mayor in Landslide

Ken Christian has been elected mayor of Kamloops in a landslide vote.

Christian, the former city councillor, collected 64 per cent of the votes. Kathy Sinclair and Ray Dhaliwal snagged the two council seats.

The by-election became necessary after the resignations of Mayor Peter Milobar (elected as MLA), Councillor Marg Spina and Councillor Ken Christian who of course was running for mayor.

Voter turnout for the by-election was just 21 per cent.
