Male Driver in Enderby Accident Could Face Major Charges
We are finding out more about that accident earlier on Hwy 97 just north of Enderby. The head on collision involved a northbound green 1996 Ford Explorer driven by a 39-year-old Aldergrove man.
The SUV crossed the centre line and struck a southbound red 2016 Ford F150 driven by a 58-year-old Salmon Arm woman.
The male driver of the SUV was transported to Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Police say he is being investigated for dangerous driving causing bodily harm and possession of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle is believed to have been stolen from Merritt.
RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk, says charges are anticipated in addition to the driver being arrested on outstanding warrants, as well as impaired driving and is a prohibited driver.
The woman was airlifted by a BC Air Ambulance helicopter to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops with what is described as serious injuries.
