Update: Two Injured In Highway Crash

Fire crews had to extricate a driver from a crashed car in Coldstream this afternoon.

The car went off Highway 6 near the Coldstream Ranch, hit a lamppost, through a fence, and ended up in a field.

“There was two occupants, an elderly couple The passenger male got out on his own, and we extricated the female driver. They were both transported to hospital by ambulance with undetermined injuries,” says Coldstream fire chief Dave Sturgeon.

No word on what caused the crash.

“From witness accounts, they just veered off the road all of a sudden,” says Sturgeon.

The Lavington Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Crews are responding a crash on Highway 6 in Coldstream.

It’s near the intersection with Kalamalka Road by the Coldstream Ranch.

Reports says it involved a car going off the road, over a ditch, and into a field.

A witness says the car is badly damaged.

Police, fire and ambulance are at the scene.
