Final Stretch For Kin Race Track Trial

Lawyers are making their final arguments in the civil trial over use of Kin Race Track in Vernon.
The case is being heard in BC Supreme Court in New Westminster, picking up from where it left off in August.
Judge Michal Tammen is expected to reserve his decision for several months.
The Okanagan Equestrian Society says they have the documents to prove they should be able to keep holding horse events at the site on 43rd Avenue.
The City of Vernon and Regional District of North Okanagan –which own the land — evicted the society seven years ago, claiming they didn’t follow conditions of their contract.
The local governments want to use the land for other recreational purposes.
