37 candidates for Kelowna council race

There will be a total of 37 candidates running for Kelowna city council next month.

An unofficial list published by the chief electoral officer Friday afternoon also shows a third mayoral candidate. The official list of candidates will be confirmed on September 18.

Kelowna will have at least four new councillors, as four incumbents announced previously they would not be seeking re-election.

Incumbent mayor Tom Dyas faces a challenge from councillor Ron Cannan, and late entrant Andrew Uitvlugt.
