Dozens of organizations to showcase their work at the Vernon Volunteer Fair

People looking to give back to their community will be able to gain some insights into local opportunities.

The Vernon Volunteer Fair will be held at the Vernon Recreation Centre’s Dogwood Gym 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12.

The fair will feature booths from 24 local organizations looking for volunteers and representatives will be able to speak about their work with attendees.

“Volunteers are an important part of what makes our community strong,” Lee Brinkman with NexusBC Community Resource Centre, the group putting on the Vernon Volunteer Fair, said.
