RCMP’s newest recruit arrives in Kelowna

The next generation of RCMP police dogs has arrived in Kelowna.

A four-month-old German shepherd named ‘Hank’ is beginning training.

The RCMP says police dogs assist in tracking suspects, finding missing people, and supporting officers during high-risk incidents.

If training goes well, Hank will eventually join the RCMP’s Southeast District Police Dog Service Unit full-time.
