GoFundMe launched in support of motorcycle accident victim

An online fundraiser has been launched to support a local man involved in a motorcycle crash.

The GoFundMe for Stacey Winters says the man was involved in a “devastating motorcycle accident” on April 21 when he suffered serious injuries. As of the latest update he was in critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit in Kelowna, and was “facing a long road ahead, with multiple surgeries and an uncertain recovery journey.”

The motorcycle crash also came on the heels of Winters’s wife, Tina, having her own health scare in February, and the GoFundMe looked to raise some money to help offset the financial weight the family was facing.

“We are hoping to raise funds to help ease some of that burden — to allow them to focus on what truly matters: Stacey’s recovery,” the online fundraiser said.
