Local MP looks back on key federal meetings

Federal ministers were in the Okanagan last week for two days of meetings hosted by Kelowna–Lake Country MP Stephen Fuhr.
The Liberal Pacific Caucus visited July 16th and 17th, sitting down with mayors, councillors, and community leaders to discuss issues like housing, infrastructure, and public safety.
In his weekly newsletter, Fuhr called the visit “purposeful, not symbolic,” and said it was about “bringing Ottawa to the Okanagan, giving decision-makers a chance to see our challenges up close and hear directly from the people facing them.”
The meetings touched on everything from Kelowna’s infrastructure pressures to housing affordability in Lake Country and wildfire recovery in West Kelowna.
