Knights sweep Coyotes in KIJHL series

The North Okanagan Knights have advanced to round 2 of the KIJHL playoffs after sweeping the Osoyoos Coyotes in four games.

The Knights finished off the best of 7 series with a 5-2 win in the South Okanagan Tuesday night, and will play either the Princeton Posse or Kelowna Chiefs in the next round.

The Posse leads that series 3-1 with game 5 in Princeton Friday.

Nolan Kelly scored two goals for the Knights in their series-clincher, while Josh Hager made 46 saves in net.

The North Okanagan Knights take a 3 games to none lead over the Osoyoos Coyotes into game 4 of their first round KIJHL series Tuesday night in the South Okanagan.

The Knights shut out the ‘Dogs’ 5-0 in game 3 Monday night, getting 48 saves from goalie Josh Hager and two goals from Gage Parrell.

The North Okanagan Knights visit the Osoyoos Coyotes for game 3 of their best of 7 first-round KIJHL series Monday night.

The Knights hold a two games to none lead after winning both their home games at the NorVal Area over the weekend by scores of 5-4 and 5-1

In Game 2 Saturday, the Knights scored four goals in the third period to break open what had been a close game. Devin Jameson got credit for the winning goal 6:11 into the period while Nolan Kelly and Gage Parrell each netted two goals.

Ian George and Luke Rishaug both scored twice for the Knights in their 5-4 Friday.

Scott Dyck had two goals for the Coyotes.
