“When we partner with amazing local organizations, like the ones receiving these grants in Vernon and Lumby, everybody wins,” Harwinder Sandhu, MLA for Vernon-Lumby, stated.

“Our communities are better because of these amazing local organizations, and people who work tirelessly to support the organizations. I am so grateful for all the workers, volunteers, and partners that make it possible for people here and across the province to access the supports they need.”

The program, funded from provincial commercial gambling revenues, provides a combined $56-million to support 1,225 non-profit organizations across B.C.

“B.C.’s non-profit organizations provide important services and programs for British Columbians throughout the province, and we know how much of a difference that makes in their daily lives,” Anne Kang, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport, stated.

“Through these Community Gaming Grants, we are proud to support these organizations to provide important services to residents that enhance quality of life, address specific needs and help our communities thrive.”
