BCHL adds new player support program

The BC Hockey League (BCHL) has announced a new player support program that will give all BCHL athletes access to virtual healthcare through an app on their smart phone at any time of day.

The league has adopted a virtual health care app and mental health support for its players, providing them with an anonymous support system featuring a number of services, including:

  • Guided learning online therapy
  • Face-to-face online therapy
  • Personal crisis management
  • Nutrition
  • Coaching
  • Critical incident response

The system acts as a streamlined way to offer BCHL players medical support, while guaranteed to be anonymous and conducted by a certified medical professional.
