Vernon Public Art Gallery’s milestone annual fundraiser was a great success.

The 40th edition of the Midsummer’s Eve of the Arts raised a record-breaking over $115,000 dollars for the art gallery (VPAG).

This was the fourth year in a row that the major fundraiser for the gallery broke its fundraising record.

“The success of this evening is a testament to the community’s support of the arts,” VPAG’s Executive Director Dauna Kennedy stated.

“At a time when funding challenges are affecting arts institutions across the country, these funds will help ensure that the Vernon Public Art Gallery remains in a strong position moving into its new facility. Thank you just doesn’t express our gratitude to our community!”

The evening featured both a silent and a live auction, refreshments and appetizers, and live music.

The money raised through the event will go towards VPAG’s arts programs and events, exhibits, and community outreach work.
