Workshop destroyed in early morning West Kelowna fire

A workshop near Gellatly Bay was destroyed in an early morning fire Thursday.

West Kelowna Fire Rescue responded to reports of a structure fire on Harding Road at about 4:50 a.m.

Crews arriving at the scene found the workshop fully engulfed in flames and launched a defensive attack to contain the blaze.

Four fire apparatus, two safety officers and the duty chief responded. The fire has since been extinguished, but crews remained on scene monitoring for hot spots.
