Council gets update on overdose prevention site

Vernon council will get an update on the overdose prevention site that opened in the city’s downtown a year-and a half ago.

Interior Health’s medical health officer will be on hand to to answer questions about the facility on 32nd Avenue.

The facility provides a site where people can safely consume drugs, but its location was opposed by the business community who wanted it located at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
