Water restrictions tightening for Enderby properties

Enderby will increase its water restrictions ahead of the weekend.

Starting Friday, July 24, all properties connected to Enderby’s drinking water system will be under Stage 2 water restrictions.

Stage 2 means people with odd-numbered addresses will only be able to water their lawns and gardens using sprinklers or irrigation systems on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while even-numbered properties can water on Wednesdays and Sundays. Watering with a sprinkler will only be permitted for a maximum of two hours a day between 6 and 9 a.m. and 6 and 9 p.m., while underground irrigation will only be permitted between 12 and 6 a.m.

Additional watering days will be provided for people to use drip irrigation or hand water their lawns, landscaping, plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, and fruit and vegetable plants.
