Strict new orders issued to stop ‘rapid’ spread of COVID-19 in B.C.’s Lower Mainland
Calling it another challenging day for COVID-19 in B.C., Dr. Bonnie Henry has issued numerous new orders to try and stop the spread of the virus.
Henry, the provincial health officer, announced 567 new cases at a special update on Saturday, bringing the total since the pandemic started to 17,716.
The new cases include 122 in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 411 in Fraser Health, 3 in Island Health, 22 in Interior Health, and 9 in Northern Health.
There are now over 100 people with COVID in hospital, with 31 in critical or intensive care.
