People’s Party Takes Next Step

The People’s Party of Canada continues to work towards fielding a Vernon area candidate for next year’s federal election.

Local supporters will hold a general meeting tonight to elect officers and directors, with an open invitation for any interested people to attend.

The right-wing party led by former Conservative M-P Maxime Bernier, is said to be nearing 25-thousand members in Canada.

The meeting is at the Schubert Centre at 6:30 pm, with Bernier (pictured) expected to participate via a conference call.
