Hurlburt Park Upgrade Postponed until 2019

It’s back to the drawing board for upgrades to Hurlburt Park on the west side of Okanagan Lake.

Improvements were expected to take place this year but a single contractor bid on the project was significantly over budget.

“We were unsuccessful in trying to negotiate with the bidder to bring it onto budget, and so, I think we’re doing the right thing by separating it into multiple components and re-tendering it. that’s the right strategy.”

Councillor Brian Quiring expressed regret the work was not done this past summer.
