Walking For Business in Enderby

Walking For Business in Enderby

Sep 24, 2018 | 6:42 AM

Enderby Council is hoping to hold its annual Business Walk October 4th this year.

Mayor Greg McCune says its an opportunity for both the city and businesses to catch up with each other.

“It’s great to get out and talk to the business owners and see how they did in the summer and know what they’re expecting for the upcoming year and kind of let them know some of the initiatives that the city’s working on.”

McCune says it’s especially good for a place like Enderby with a lot of small businesses where the owners may not have time to get to city hall to talk over their concerns.

“If we can come to them it just provides them an opportunity to go hey, you know what, I was kind of hoping to make a little expansion to my business and then we can direct them to who they need to,  and it just the ball rolling.”

McCune says the past couple of walks have helped businesses with land purchases and risk assessments on some ideas.

He says each year has its wins.

The walk is held with the support of the Enderby & District Chamber of Commerce and Community Futures North Okanagan.
