Vernon to start accepting community grant applications in October

The City of Vernon will be accepting applications for it’s community grants starting in early October.

The City has multiple funding streams to distribute the grants for people looking to run events, launch a sustainability project, or support their non-profits.

Community Event Grant: supports for non-commercial organizations to deliver events such as community celebrations, recreation and sport activities, arts and culture programming, and fundraisers for local non-profits (applications open October 1 to 31).

Council Discretionary Grant: supports for non-profits and registered societies with programs, services and initiatives that contribute to the quality. Those can range from youth programming to food security, from accessibility to arts and culture, and from recreation to public safety (October 1 to 31)
