Quilpituk Creek fire situation improving

The situation is improving on the Quilpituk Creek wildfire near Westside Road.

Evacuation Orders in some areas have been downgraded to Alerts as fire conditions improve.

The Evacuation Alert south of Cinnabar Creek, including Wilson’s Landing, has also been lifted.

BC Wildfire Service now considers the fire to be held, meaning it is not expected to spread beyond its current boundaries under current conditions.
