A local content creator hopped online to support end-of-life care in the community.

Levi Meyers, along with his wife Esme and a couple close friends, held a 12-hour Twitch streaming marathon for the North Okanagan Hospice Society (NOHS).

The marathon, held on May 23, raised $8,565, with every dollar going to the organization that supports end-of-life care programs and services locally.

“Meyers spearheaded the fundraiser as a deeply personal way to give back to the organization that provided critical care, dignity, and compassion to his family during his mother’s final days with cancer in 2013,” NOHS said in a release.

“Reflecting on the motivation behind their hard work, Meyers noted that most people will cross paths with hospice care at some point in their lives, making a local support system like NOHS vital for Vernon families.”

The fundraiser also built on the $3,023.27 raised in the inaugural fundraising stream marathon in 2025, and surpassed this year’s goal of $5,000.

As the goal was surpassed, Meyers also fulfilling a promise to bleach his hair live on camera.
