Vernon association embarks on ‘Post Covid Restart’

Oct 6, 2022 | 6:00 PM

The Okanagan Landing and District Community Association is announcing its “Post Covid Re-Start.”

Although the [Paddlewheel Park] Hall has had a busy summer, this fall marks the return of several community events including the annual Fall Garage Sale on October 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It’s free to enter, but a donation for the Vernon Food Bank would be appreciated including toiletries, baby food, canned or dry food.

Call 250-558-4233 to book a table ($10 for one, $5 for second or third, payable in cash at set up the evening before).

Additionally, the Station House Museum will open October 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with cash donations accepted for entry to this small and historical museum.

That event is followed by our first Coffee House in a few years on October 16 where we host some great local musicians. Entry fee is only $5 and refreshments available. Doors open at 2 p.m. and music from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Also we are accepting annual memberships ($10) and donations at both these events or on our website www.paddlewheel.ca . Tax receipts will be issued for all donations over $20.

As always, we are looking for volunteers and new board members for the association. Call 250-545- 2500 or email info@okanaganlanding.com

Our annual general meeting will be held on November 21 at 7 p.m.
