Public invited to celebrate Greater Vernon business awards

People will have the option to attend a celebration of local businesses either in person or virtually.

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce will hold its 37th annual Business Excellence Awards (presented by MNP) on Oct. 29 at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre.

The event will honour the entrepreneurs, visionaries and leaders who are going through another tough year due to the COVID-19.

“Businesses and non-profits have been resilient through the pandemic while creating employment, providing exceptional and innovative service and supporting our community. That is what the Business Excellence Awards celebrates,” said Dan Proulx, Greater Vernon Chamber general manager.

“We invite you to join us Oct. 29 to recognize all of the nominees for their passion, inspiration and commitment to succeed. It will be an exciting evening as we reveal the winners in 16 categories both inperson and virtually,” Proulx added.

Registration for the gala is $25 and attendees have the choice of attending in person at the Performing Arts Centre or viewing virtually.

The gala will feature MCs Brian Martin and Rebecca Barton from Beach Radio, and a message from Mark DeVolder, a Vernon-based keynote speaker and author of Perpetual Pivot: How the Best Leaders Adapt to Exponential Change.
