Lightbulb recycling site in Salmon Arm closes

Residents of the Shuswap will have to choose a new location for their lightbulb recycling needs.

The Product Care depot in Salmon Arm is closed effective immediately and will no longer accept lightbulb drop offs for recycling.

Instead, residents will need to visit Central Hardware in Enderby or the the Home Hardware Building Centre in Chase to recycle their used bulbs.

Product Care is the non-profit responsible for electronic recycling for post consumer products in B.C. The recycling program is funded by the fees collected through light bulb purchases.
