Crossbow nocks, mountain bike, fan and teether product recalls issued
Health Canada has issued product recall notices for Ravin Crossbows arrow nocks, Marin mountain bikes, Intertex LLC B-Air Blower fans, and various Hallmark softwood round teethers with attachments.
The recall for the Ravin crossbows has to do with the white arrow nocks, which if not fully engaged with the bowstring can fail to discharge when the trigger is pulled. The bow can then discharge while re-nocking the arrow, creating a laceration hazard to users.
The company reports that approximately 3,600 white clip-on nocks sold in Canada between October 2016 and November 2017.
Health Canada said no injuries due to malfunctioning crossbows have been reported in Canada, though there have been 51 reported injuries, including 28 serious injuries, in the United States since a first recall notice was issued in 2017.
