Killiney Beach Community Park closed to public for firefighting purposes

The Regional District of Central Okanagan has closed Killiney Beach Community Park so the water can be accessed for firefighting efforts.

The closure of the 5.6 hectare waterfront park will provide the North Westside Fire Rescue with unrestricted access to fill water tenders and fire trucks in response to the White Rock Lake wildfire.

Members of the public are advised to stay out of the park, and the RDCO Parks Services, as well as the fire department, thanks residents for their cooperation.
