RCMP identify homicide victims as brothers
RCMP say two men found dead near Naramata last week were brothers from Kamloops whose deaths have been classified as homicides.
The bodies of Erick Fryer, 29, and Carlos Fryer, 31 were discovered in a remote location on May 10, 2021. Police are releasing the names of both victims in an effort to further the ongoing investigation.
Police are not releasing the cause of the deaths, but don’t believe they were related to the recent spate of gang violence in the Vancouver area.
“Investigators still believe this incident was isolated in nature and not a random act,” a RCMP news release from Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey stated. “Police have not uncovered anything to suggest these homicides are connected to the BC Lower Mainland gang conflict. Major crime investigators remain open to all possibilities in this homicide case, and renew their call for anyone with any information to come forward immediately.”
