Learn How To Burn

Residents who heat their homes with wood can learn more about efficient burning practices and clean burning technology.

A free wood heating workshop will be held Oct.23, 7 pm, at the White Valley Community Centre in Lumby.

It’s being put on by the Lavington Life Society, the BC Government, the BC Lung Association and the Village of Lumby

“Learn about Woodstove Exchange Rebates in Coldstream and Lumby, upgrading your wood burning appliance, clean burning technology, loading the firebox and chimney care. After the workshop, talk with local retailers and tradespeople about upgrading your old stove and woodstove exchange rebates,” says a news release.

Organizers says the first 20 people to pre-register quality for a free gift.
