Liberals and NDP Agree on LNG
The NDP government is expected to get support from the Liberals to keep the 40-billion-dollar LNG plant and pipeline moving forward.
Vernon Monashee Liberal MLA Eric Foster says they will support it, as it’s been their key project for a decade.
“We did all the heavy lifting on this. We brought it to where it needed to be, and they happened to be in government when the prices changed and it made it possible for the companies to make a final investment decision,” Foster tells Beach Radio News.
Foster does give Premier John Horgan credit for deciding to keep the project moving ahead.
