Civic Elections Nominations Period Begins

Let the nominations begin!

The official period for people to file to run for municipal councils, regional districts and school trustees begins this morning at 9.

Potential candidates have until 4 pm on Sept. 14th to file nomination papers.

In Vernon, candidates have to pay a 100-dollar refundable deposit on nomination packages.

The candidates are running for four year terms.

The elections will be held Oct. 20th.
