BC Won’t Boycott Alberta Products
British Columbia won’t be retaliating for Alberta’s boycott on BC wine.
Premier John Horgan says he won’t be responding to what he calls the “provocation” from Alberta premier Rachael Notley over the bitumen battle.
“I would hope we’ve seen the end of the back and forth. I deliberately wasn’t available to you (media) Tuesday because I don’t believe it’s in anyone’s interest to have dueling premiers,” Horgan told a news conference in Victoria.
Horgan says BC is well within its rights to consult with residents about the consequences of an oil spill tied to the Trans Mountain expansion, a process expected to take a few months.
