Residents are asked to help “Cram the Cruiser” in Vernon.

RCMP and the Safe Communities Unit are holding the event for the food bank.

Corporal Tania Finn says it will take place Saturday outside the Superstore.

“They’ve had this event very successfully both in Lake Country and Kelowna over the past few years. This year Superstore reached out to us and asked if we’d like to participate in it.”

People are asked to bring non perishable food items to fill a police van from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday.
