Moto Mania At Silver Star

Silver Star Mountain Resort will be moto-sports central this weekend.

Hundreds of racers from the Pacific Northwest will be taking part in the Bannister GM Rev Limiter Hare Scramble and the Vernon Motorsports Tap-Out Endurocross September 23 and 24.

“SilverStar is one of only three resort venues in North America to host Off Road Motorcycle Racing and will promise to be a thrilling event for spectators,” says media and marketing specialist Oscar Gordon.

Endurocross (EX), is a hybrid motorcycle competition, a mix of Motocross, Trials, and Endurocross, held on a closed course the size of a hockey rink. Riders negotiate rocks, logs, loader tires and numerous other obstacles while they race head to head.  The Vernon Motorsports Endurocross will be held at E Lot 1 pm to 5 pm Saturday the 23rd.

Hare Scramble (HS) is a form of off-road motorcycle racing, with the riders completing multiple laps around a marked course through wooded and rugged natural terrain. An extraordinary feature of the Rev Limiter HS is that racers will negotiate the EX course at E Lot, each lap.

Spectators will be able to move throughout the resort catching action from Pit Row, the EX course to the top of the mountain.

The Bannister GM Rev Limiter HS will be held on Sunday and is part of the Pacific North West Motorcycle Association (PNWMA) series. The race has also been designated a national event by World Enduro Canada (WEC).
