Pubic Input Sought on Strategic Plan

Lumby Council is in the midst of putting together the community’s strategic plan for the next year

Mayor Kevin Acton says a number of ideas get looked at.

“Every year council gets together and we try and come up with our plan for the next year, some action plans, things we want to get done. Things we think the village wants to see done.”

A meeting is going to be held Thursday night at the curling club in Lumby to hear more from experts and the public.

“A whole mish-mash of people throughout the entire community and from professionals from far and wide, other communities around us getting together to talk about strategic planning for development in the future.”

Acton says it’s a matter of making sure everyone is heading in the same direction.
