Vernon Featured On TV Talk Show

Vernon is being featured on one of Canada’s top TV talk shows today.

The City and its partners – Sparkling Hill Resort, The O’Keefe Ranch, Gray Monk Estate Wineries and Oyama Ziplines, will be a part of the Marilyn Denis show at 11 am today on CTV.

Vernon Tourism Manager Ange Chew says the segment had Marilyn Denis, Tommy Smythe and Chef Lynn Crawford in Vernon and area.

“This was a fantastic opportunity for Tourism Vernon to raise the awareness for the City and our tourism partners.”

Chew says the segment was filmed back in June.

“The Marilyn Denis show is the number one TV talk show in Canada, so this gives exposure and awareness for Vernon as a fun  and beautiful destination to her audience in Canada. Her show also airs in the United States in certain markets,” Chew tells Kiss FM.

Chew says as part of the deal, the City hosted Denis when her crew came to Vernon in June, and there was also financial commitment for airtime to CTV.

Chew says says project would not have happened without support from Destination BC, The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association and Air Canada.

“Three years from pitch to show airing, this was a project that involved multiple partners and team work.”
