Venue Change For 55+ Games Orientation

Organizers of the 55 Plus Games in Vernon have had to make a quick venue change for their orientation and accreditation of volunteers for this evening and Saturday.

It was to take place at Kal Tire Place.

It will now happen in the Grand Ballroom at the Vernon Lodge.

The sessions are at 7 o’clock tonight and Saturday at 10 am or 12 pm.

While parking may be limited at the Lodge, attendees may park at the Vernon Recreation Centre.

So far, more than 1,100 people have registered as volunteers, but organizers are hoping to get at least 1,200.

They are currently seeking people able to help move equipment, participant accreditation, photographers, traffic control, marshalling and anyone able to help with the various sports.
