Carnival Hires Coordinator

The Vernon Winter Carnival Society has filled a key staff position.

Vicki Proulx has been hired as the non-profit group’s executive coordinator.

Carnival chair Deb White says Proulx has an extensive background in communications, volunteer experience and marketing, most recently as event coordinator with the Allan Brooks Nature Centre.

“We are very excited to work with Vicki. Carnival in Wonderland 2018 is going to be amazing,” says White.

Proulx says she’s thrilled to join the organization.

“Vernon Winter Carnival is such a huge part of our community. I can’t wait to be a part of the team that makes it all happen and to help the event develop as we move forward.”

The theme for next February’s festival will be the Carnival of Wonderland.
