Vipers Drop Shoot-Out to Silverbacks

In BCHL exhibition action last night in Salmon Arm, the hometown fans were treated to an exciting 3-2 win.

The Vipers jumped out to a 2-0 lead only to have the Silverbacks claw back to tie the game up and force a shoot-out after overtime settled nothing.

Coming into the game, Salmon Arm was looking for their first win of the pre-season coming short both times against West Kelowna last weekend, while the Vipers won both of their earlier pre-season games against Merritt. .

Both penalty kills were strong with Vernon going 3 for 3 and the Silverbacks going five for five including the one in overtime.
