Locals Chosen In WHL Draft

A couple of Greater Vernon prospects were chosen in the WHL Bantam draft for players born in 2003.

Zackary Funk of Coldstream, a forward, went to the Calgary Hitmen 43rd overall, and Vernon’s Steel Quiring, another forward, was taken 89th by the Kelowna Rockets.

Kelowna Rockets had the 18th overall pick and took forward Trevor Wong from Vancouver.

Forward Dylan Guenther of Edmonton was taken first overall by the Edmonton Oil Kings.
