AFC Toronto earns 2-2 draw against NSL-leading Montreal Roses FC thanks to late goals

LAVAL — Nikayla Small scored in the 88th minute to help AFC Toronto earn a 2-2 draw against Montreal Roses FC on Thursday in Northern Super League action.

Lauren Rowe put Toronto on the board in the 82nd minute to trim the deficit to 2-1.

Amandine Pierre-Louis scored just three minutes before Rowe to double the Roses’ lead.

Hailey Whitaker opened the scoring in the 18th minute.

The single point kept Montreal (11-4-5) five points ahead of second-place Toronto (9-5-6) and third-place Ottawa (10-6-3).
