Vernon mayor and council candidates to answer environment questions

A local environmental group will be hosting an event to hear the plans local municipal candidates have for Vernon.

Sustainable Environment Network Society (SENS) will host an all candidates forum at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre from 7 to 9 p.m. September 23.

The event will see the candidates be asked questions regarding the environment, community resilience, and other similar issues.

The forum will be open to the public and give community members a chance to ask their own questions relating to the topic. People who cannot attend can also submit their questions to be read out and answered by the candidates by emailing info@sensociety.org.

“We look forward to hearing from the candidates on a variety of important issues that affect Vernon and the surrounding area,” SENS said in a release.
