Jul 30, 2017 | 8:23 AM
A brief fire scare yesterday afternoon near Naramata is 100 per cent contained.
The BC Wildfire service initially reported the fire was northeast of Naramata, an update this morning confirms it was southeast of Naramata, near the boundary with Penticton.
A tactical evacuation of Sutherland Road has ended and residents are cleared to go back to their homes.
The fire is holding at 100 per cent containment and Forestry officials tell us the small fire is in the mop up stage.
BC Wildfire assisted with air support. Naramata and Penticton fire crews were the first on site and took early control of the fire.
