Splash for Cash winner getting a shopping spree at Shepherd’s Home Hardware

Beach Radio’s Splash for Cash contest is going to support some renovations at an Armstrong residence.

The inaugural contest saw over 4,000 entries, and the 20 finalists attend a special event at The Edge at the Rise Thursday evening for the final, elimination-style draw.

Andrea Martin’s name was drawn last and the Armstrong resident won a $5,000 shopping spree at a select participating business of her choice. She told Beach and Vernon Matters she and her husband would opt to use the money at Shepherd’s Home Hardware.

“We’re going to do renovations to the house,” an excited Martin told Vernon Matters, though noting there were no immediate plans for what the renovations would entail.
