  • Pete Place
  • 28 to 39, 40 and 42 Louies Lane
  • 58 Jenny Lane

People returning to their properties were advised to be cautious of any hazards, including structural damage, damaged trees, fallen power lines, and sharp debris. Structures that appear unstable should not be entered.

The OKIB also advised people to check food before using it and throw out anything that spoiled, use personal protective equipment during cleanup, replace the furnace and/or air conditioner filters, and be careful of soot and ash.

Evacuees returning home were also encouraged to remain vigilant and keep emergency kits and grab-and-go bags at the ready in case conditions change and evacuation orders are issued again.

As of the morning of this morning, the Bradley Creek wildfire was still classified as Being Held, indicating it was unlikely to spread beyond the existing boundary, though the B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) warned flare-ups may continue where unburned fuels near existing hot spots ignite.

The BCWS continued to patrol the perimeter of the blaze, extinguishing hot spots Friday morning, while heavy equipment worked to complete critical rehabilitation along control lines.

A combined 51 firefighters, two helicopters and five pieces of heavy equipment were assigned to the Bradley Creek and Quilpituk Creek wildfires.

Boaters and drone and personal aircraft pilots were again urged to stay away from fire sites so as to not interfere with operations.
