Truck Hits Power Pole; Traffic Backed Up

A crash in Enderby has cut power to some residents and created a major traffic jam around the community.

Motorist Noel Enge tells Kiss FM a dump truck apparently swerved to miss an oncoming car that was passing on the highway north of Enderby.

“To avoid hitting it, he turned right off the highway and into a power pole,” says Enge.

The truck driver was not hurt.

Highway traffic is being detoured on some side roads in Enderby, and it’s said to be very slow going.

Just over 300 Enderby residents have been without power as a result.
