Tax Exemption Deadline Nears

Groups seeking a 2018 permissive tax exemption from the City of Vernon have until July 31 at 4:30 pm  to get their application in.

The exemptions provide a reduction in property taxes, and recognize the value of volunteer groups and social agencies.

The applications for new and returning permissive tax exemption are available online or at City Hall.

Non-profit organizations and places of worship may apply as long as the subject property meets the criteria established by council policy.

Applications are available on the City’s website at www.vernon.ca/services/finance or for pick up at City Hall (3400 30 Street).
