Roughrider player had alcohol, cannabis in SUV going wrong way before deadly crash
REGINA —
Saskatchewan Roughrider player Jayden Dalke was driving on the wrong side of a divided highway — with alcohol and cannabis in his SUV — when the vehicle slammed into another, killing himself and a second driver, Mounties said Monday.
They also said that a half-hour before the crash on Saturday northwest of Regina, the linebacker’s SUV left a gas station with unpaid fuel.
RCMP revealed details of the crash as members of the Canadian Football League team reacted to news of the deaths.
